Google's 'Blogger' Service Crashes, Still Broken

Google's "Blogger" service, which publishes more blogs than any other, has been BROKEN for at least ten days. Symptoms include postings that take up to six hours from the time the user clicks "Post" to the time the item shows up on the blog, to the publishing of out-of-date versions of blogs. Then yesterday, the whole blogger system CRASHED and was offline for one hour. Google doesn't provide "tech support," but offers a message area that contains thousands of complaints about recent problems. What's weird is that Google and Blogger have said NOTHING about what's going on, neither to users nor to the press. Their attitude seems to be that Blogger is free, and you get what you pay for.

Google's Blogger Bogged Down, 3 Hours to Post

For the past week, Google's Blogger service has SLOWED TO A CRAWL. It takes five to 10 minutes after posting for Blogger to post to an FTP site during off-peak times, and up to three hours during peak times. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know what's going on?

Google Kills Facebook Code Leak Blog

I told you Sunday about the creation of a blog called Facebook Secrets with a single post: Facebook source code that Facebook representatives claim is not a security breech. Now it appears that Google has KILLED THE BLOG, citing copyright infringement. Meanwhile, numerous Google-hosted sites advocating global terrorism, murder and the killing of American soldiers have not been shut down by Google. I guess terrorism is OK, but copyright infringement cannot be tolerated.
