16-year-old beaten to death at internet addiction camp
"Supervisors" at an internet addiction camp in China beat to death a 16-year-old patient for "running too slowly."
The death follows recent reports on the use of electric-shock therapy (now reportedly banned) at internet addiction camps in China, as well as the use of psychotropic drugs and what are called "nanometer wave machines" to treat addicts.
Most "patients" are boys addicted to online gaming. There are hundreds of such camps in China, according to Newsweek.

Sound's like he was safer online. What a shame.
I wonder if those people at the camp beat up their computers for running to slowly.
Well hmm, sounds like there is a bigger problem with controlling the people of the country. Who forces kids into concentration camps for being on the computer. That seems to be a family decision and not an institution one. China is wrong in this and is falling behind in the world, and this story just brings this further into the light.
