Blu-ray player holds 400 discs. Wait, 400?!

Sony is working on a ginormous, $2,000 Blu-ray player/changer that holds 400 discs. Overkill? Over-priced? Or where-can-I-get-one?

Gimme a gigantic hard drive instead that can hold up to 400 discs. I'm starting to hate physical media...

$2,000 is about $1,500 too much. I have a Sony 400-disc DVD changer that cost me $300. I'll grant that Blu-Ray is advanced technology, so I'll give them another $200 for it, but that's all. Otherwise, the guts (chassis, carousel, etc.) of this changer is exactly the same.

50GB (given full disc rip) x 400 = 20TB
1TB caviar black x 20 = 20TB
1TB caviar black = $95 (newegg)

$1900

this is completely stupid on sony's part. like anon 1 said RIPOFF.
