Worst USB gadget yet: the Syringe Flash Drive
This $29 clear-plastic USB flash drive in the shape of a medical syringe is dumb, but might be fun if you could "inject" your system with data by sticking in the "needle" end and pressing the plunger. But no. To use it, you remove the plunger and insert the other end with the "needle" end sticking out. How lame is that?

Comments:
Dumb...? Naaa; they have to do something with a thumb drive, why not have some fun with it? The only thing I spot is that a fellow having it in his front pocket and then sits down; if it isn't positioned right, it could poke through the pocket and possibly inflict a stabbing pain... Also the extended point makes it stick out more than I personally would like, that may be a problem if your USB ports are on the rear of a laptop and you grab it and lift it from the front. I personally would not be moved to buy it, but I think the design is 'fun', and if focus group response was positive, why not...? Elliot/vvurdsmyth
Yet, pharmaceutical companies might buy it as a give-away at trade shows etc.
Hilarious! A rather unsuccessful meeting of medical and technological minds...
They could've at least put fake blood in it, and/or made the syringe half a pen with red ink. That would've sold me.
