Awesome New Gimmick: A Clear Cell Phone

LG trotted out today a new handset that's partially transparent! The LG GD900 is a slider phone, and the bottom half slides down to reveal numbers etched in what appears to be clear glass. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.1, but the company kept other details to itself.

From the headline of the posting, I thought the gimmick was that someone developed a cell phone that actually had a "clear" signal. In other words, one that does not get choppy, disconnect, or have drop outs. Now - That would be some gimmick!!!
It's sad that after ma bell developed near perfet phone standards over a hundred years, the cell phone guys proved in a minute that people don't care a hoot about quality.
