Why Are PCs and Gadgets So Slow?
Moore's Law says computer chips double in speed every 1.5 to 2 years. Your PC should be 32 times faster than the PC you used in 1998. The chips ARE faster, so why isn't your PC? Chip speed improvements are being SQUANDERED by everyone from OS makers to driver writers to hardware makers and component manufacturers.

Moores law is bettered by Gates' Law of Code Bloat :-)
ATTENTION Steve Jobs - Opportunity is knocking!! People want responsive computers. My first APPLE laptop had an instant on and instant off capability. Yes, that's right, I woke it up and could be typing in Word in 1 second!! Not...5..10...30...60 seconds. PLEASE!!!! What the hell takes 5 minutes or more to boot??? Why in hell does my computer slow down while opening a web page??? Come on guys!! You can do other things while waiting for data!! It's insane that we can do real-time video but these devices are SO SLUGGISH interacting with people!! Makes no sense... BUT -> Steve, if you are listening... here is your big chance to KNOCK OUT MICROSOFT! Just make a computer OS that "feels snappy" isn't sluggish responding to people!! It's NOT THAT HARD!!
Moore's Law doesn't say anything about computer chips doubling in speed every 1-2 years. You guys need to hire a real geek to write these stories.
