A $9,500 LOUNGE CHAIR THAT FLOATS ABOVE THE GROUND VIA MAGNETS -- yeah, a maglev chair -- is on display at Britain's gadget show called Stuff Live.

I want one! However, I think I will put nice padding on it first before stretching out on if for a nap. I wonder if there could be any theraputic benefits with this chair. Or imagine instead of a wheelchair for those who can't walk, a chair that floats on air. That would be awesome!!!!

Since it would be essentially frictionless, you could give it a good shove and see how far you could travel. Definitely bad for rooftop suntans, and poolside (unless you chain it down).

If it's maglev, doesn't it have to have a magnet (electro or pm) to repel it? The article didn't mention any.
