The U.S. Army Research Laboratory is working on the development of iris-scanning biometric ID technology that can identify up to THIRTY PEOPLE PER MINUTE AS THEY WALK BY. The Army plans to build a device that's portable and ruggedized. Current systems require each person to walk up, stop and hold still in front of the iris scanners.

Whats the point?
Iris scans have an error rate of 1 in 100 so statistically you'll match at least a dozen other people in the Army. I'm sure they could dream up more creative ways of wasting tax payers money, like building a light sabre or genetically engineering some wookies!
My guess is that you will eventually be able to use this technology to help identify good guys and bad guys - that does not seem like a waste to me...
One of my colleagues was just at a security show and told me that this technology was demonstrated there and is currently commercially available.
People wake up THX1138 and blade runner isn't far away. Who wants it and who needs this technology ? who is such a psychopath that he needs this kind of stuff to feel safe ? Making a distinction between bad and good guys with this technology is just a joke, don't you realize that in the end everybody will be bad ? Don't you see that we are treated as cattle , inspected, approved , indexed and eventually ...slowly killed when of no use ? Don't you see this IS the agenda ?
This is again one more step into total domination, total submission of the human race. We as a species are in great danger ! Please wake up and dear to say NO NO ENOUGH !
