Shoe Knows When You're About to Keel Over

Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology researchers have invented a SHOE THAT KNOWS IF YOU'RE ABOUT TO FALL OVER. The shoe's sole has sensors that monitor balance, and the data are passed wirelessly to a nearby computer, which could report balance problems to a doctor. It's perfect for astronauts, old people and drunks.
