Microsoft Punks Users to Show People Like Vista
The conventional wisdom is that everybody hates Windows Vista. Microsoft counters that everybody loves Vista. Now, in order to prove its point, Microsoft gathered together more than 120 Mac, Linux, Windows XP and Windows 2000 users and told them they were trying a future version of Windows code-named "Mojave." In fact, they were using Vista. On Tuesday, Microsoft will unveil the results of their little slight of hand on this web site: www.mojaveexperiment.com

I like Apple. I like Linux. But I also really like Vista. It has some really cool new features. However....there are two things I just HATE about Vista: its awful price tag! Why can't the upgrade be 69 bucks and the full verson 129? And why did they screw up the Control Panel? Under XP it was elegant and easy to use, under Vista it is a mess. But I do like the new filing system, I like the fact I can print and colors look the same on the monitor as they do in the printer, something I could never get XP to do, and many other things. So there you have it from me.
The phrase is 'sleight of hand'. And what Microsoft did doesn't require 'quick fingers', just deception, so it is no sleight of hand anyway.

So in other words, M$ built very high end PC's that they had all of the drivers for, and setup a test to allow users to see if they would like it had they not known it was Vista...
Vista isn't a horrible O/S, assuming you have no software that isnt compatible, hardware that isn't compatible etc..
In a perfect world, vista is ok.. but as we all know, it is not a perfect world...
Would I be wrong to say that this more indicative of certain group of people's opinion vs fact, rather than whether or not Vista is any good.
Let's not forget that this "experiment" only features people who have never used Vista who says that Vista is rubbish. That in itself indicates that the people in the videos really are ignorant in the full sense of the word.
How about we see some videos of people who have used Vista and let them tell us what they don't like about it?
I love Vista. The reason Microsoft did this experiment was because no one gave Vista a complete chance. Some people did, but most people just took what the commercials said and thought they were right. I've been using Vista for a while now and its awesome. I went to the apple store in the mall and used the biggest mac they had there, and it took forever to open programs. I'm going to stick with windows.
LOL! Vista is unstable and very dangerous under most consumer-hardware environments.
This is not MS vs. Apple either, you cannot compare the two to prove that Vista is a good OS...
Finally note that ANY OS will run like a champ when used safely and properly, not allowing malware to take over and not giving in to cheap untested mass produced hardware. Spend good money on solid, enterprise/business hardware and learn how to use it! Then Vista is no better or worse than XP, 2K, Linux flavors, Mac, etc
