GPS Has Caused 300,000 Car Accidents In UK
A survey by Direct Line insurance conducted on behalf of the Mirror found that some 300,000 accidents in the UK have been caused by RELIANCE ON GPS, 1.5 million have "suddenly veered dangerously or illegally in busy traffic," while slavishly obeying the orders of their GPS devices, and a whopping 5 million have been sent the wrong way down one-way streets.

Comments:
It's called Darwin's Law.
Many people don't (can't?) map read anymore, so first the GPS gives them a few safe easy trips, just to train them. Then it tells them to drive along railway lines or into a river (actual cases!) just to see if they are still paying attention and worthy of continuing to be a member of the human race.
The Darwin principle at work...
