Gamers More Social than Non-Gamers -- Study
New research shows that GAMERS ARE MORE SOCIAL THAN NON-GAMERS. A report on the study says the research is "government backed" and conducted by somebody named Lawrence Kutner. The study explained the reason for the differece between gamers and non-gamers: Games build confidence, which help social interactions. Hmmm. I'd feel better about all this if there were a university involved.

Comments:
Not a university backed study, but the authors do work for this organization- http://www.mentalhealthandmedia.org/staff/index.html, which is associated with Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Both authors also teach at Harvard.
This study doesn't explain why the shootings at Columbine happened since both Harris and Klebold were fans of video games.
More social, but still, never gettin laid.
What's with all the research revolving around gamers?
Gamers are this and gamers are that and gamers can be used for this and gaming is bad for that....
Why don't they invest some money researching why people research about other people's exciting hobies at the minute they realise they are stuck in an ugly and boring academic profession?
Ooops....well, there you go.
You know, this stuff is completely true, because not only is there real world relationships with real peole and stuff, but there's also new games like Halo 3 and a ton more where you can make friends online and play with them though an internet connection. Plus, if you are a gamer, then you can talk about game topics, like gaeplay, upcoming games, old-school games and a million different things, what with all the progress gaming has done. So, with all that gamers can do that most non-gamers can't, gamers are usually more social.
