Craigslist and eBay offer "sensitive," stolen and illegal-to-export military gear to anyone worldwide, "NO QUESTIONS ASKED," according to a congressional investigative organization. Anyone with a credit card can buy F-14 fighter jet parts or night-vision goggles, chemical weapons protection gear, Kevlar vests, flak jackets and more, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office.

ooh wow the gov so so far behind..all i have to say to them good morning..though that is a mater of national security
Is this the same way eBay will sell human organs "no questions asked" simply because they can't monitor all transactions since eBay (like Craigslist) don't actually sell anything? It's hard to ask questions when you're not really involved in the transaction.
If a government official finds restricted equipment for sale I'm sure they can get in touch with eBay not only to pull the posting but with the proper authority to find out who's selling it, if not who's bidding on it. It's silly to assume that some guy monitoring for sale ads would know where to draw the line between legitimate military memorabilia and classified government secret, but if they see "human liver" it's a pretty clear-cut case.
This is annoying.
Craigslist and Ebay don't offer anything but a service. Criminals who steal government material offer these goods on Ebay, Craigslist as well as yard sales, gun shows and flea markets. The Government as usual will avoid responsibility by placing blame.
I think a better headline would have been, "US Military fails to keep track of their sensitive/restricted equipment."

In South Africa, it would be the Government selling it.
...and then they will pay millions for a research team to find out what happened to the "stolen" goods.
