Giant Watch Has Phone, Camera, Touch Screen

The $300 DigitalRise M600i wristwatch does more than the Apple iPhone. It sports a 1.3 megapixel camera and unlocked GSM cell phone. It supports Bluetooth, MP3 music, MP4 video, TFlash memory and has a 128x160 pixel touchscren, voice and handwriting recognition, and comes with a wide range of useful applications installed, including a Web browser. The only downside is that it's FRICKIN HUGE.

downside #2: It's incompatible with North American networks.

Ouch - what is wrong with USA networks? Are they still on analogue or something?

Anyway, like the phone, little large and lack of 3g support. Been out for quite a while though: http://www.conita.com/Mobile-Phones/CECT-W100-Wrist-Watch-Phone-Review.html

The US GSM networks use 850/1900MHz instead of 900/1800MHz just to be different - and because that spectrum was already taken. Too bad, I didn't think they still made GSM chipsets that weren't global.

Ah... i get it - strange that more chips dont cover at least 1900 too...

i remember buying my first phone and was trying to choose between the deals for vodaphone (900mhz) and t-mobile(1800mhz)[then called 1to1 in the uk) and the guy from the 121 shop was trying to tell me that the t-mobile network was better not due to local coverage etc but just down the the fact that '1800 mhz was twice as good, and twice as fast' - lol
