Chinese Theft o' the Day: LG Plasma Technology
Prosecutors in Seoul, Korea, indicted an ex-LG employee for spying for a Chinese company in a case they say cost the South Korean economy more than $1 BILLION. The Chinese company, Changhong-Orion PDP-Chaihong, reportedly paid the LG manager $300,000 per year, an apartment and a car (he was still collecting his LG salary) in exchange for copying 1,182 files from the LG network and giving it to the Chinese company. The company then used that stolen data to copy LG's plasma display panel production technology. Changhong-Orion PDP-Chaihong plans to start making plasma panels with the stolen technology starting in December.

China is probably the bigest threat to world security existing without near enuff measures of control. Look at history. its alway been this way, not to forget west Africa trying to scam every one with the most chjildish attempts, never even thinking of working for a living....both with malign hidden adgendas and thers an obvious reason for this can you guess?
Business as usual for the Chinese. They'll be selling knock-off LG displays at the Dragonmart (the mile long outlet mall outside of Dubai, UAE) along side the fake DeWalt drills and bogus Kohler faucets. But hey, they supply cheap labor so lets just keep sending them our business.

Seems only fair. We stole everything that wasn't nailed down (and a lot that was) after the Boxer rebellion. Then there were the Opium wars. (sometimes hard to tell us from the British, we all look alike)
This stuff they stole from the Koreans. Hell, we stole Texas and California from the Mexicans.

During the 20-something years that Mexico claimed rights over "Alta California," The Californios wanted nothing to do with Mexico, and everyone who wasn't in favor of returning to Spanish rule debated over whether to go independent or join the United States. Negotiations had already been well under way for union with the U.S.
The fourth and least popular option was being part of Mexico.
Mexico 1) never had the consent of the governed in California; 2) never had the ability to project power over California; and 3) simply assumed it had rights over California simply because the Spanish claimed such rights.
The Spanish speaking Californios happily stayed on in California, and became *our* ancestors, not the ancestors of the illegal immigration advocates who still absurdly claim California.
I don't know anything about Texas.
