Ginormous 'Blue Screen of Death' Hits Las Vegas

The Paris Hotel marquee in Las Vegas suffered a spectacular "Écran Bleu De la Mort" recently, according to pictures snapped by a vacationer. Photos show they finally got the system booted by morning, but that WASN'T VERY PRETTY EITHER. (props to The Daily WTF)

fake fake fake. I used to work at the paris and they only use 1 unix machine to run those, it handles all of the screens. Look at the side of pic 2. The image is there, so why not on the front screen? Its a bad photoshop job and you guys just eat it all up.

BSOD is usually caused by a hardware failure, not a software or OS problem.

Even if it's real it's probably not windows fault.

Yeah its all their fault for not using Mac... dumb shits. If they were using Mac, it wouldn't be a BSOD, it would be a big floppy donkey dick.

the pla -

Hardware failure? More like too many shit drivers running in the kernel. Kind've sucks when there's all these plentiful but lousy insecure and buggy drivers and no source code available to fix it.

The bottom one is totally fake, look at the angle the "screen" is at, compared to it's frame, the faker couldn't even get the perspective right, yet you all suck it up. lol shame.

Vegas tech is SOOOO far behind the times. It's actually pathetic. I had a client who had a site in North Las Vegas and could NOT find *ANY* techs who had even half a clue. I had to drive up from Phoenix in order to do simple tasks like setting up a new PC and putting it on the network. The "Blue screen of Death" has hit several of the signs in Vegas over the years.

Let's try using some perspective when adding that new layer in photoshop to match up with a photo. What a waste of time.

That's BULLSHIT!!! #1 the resolution is all messed up - who on Earth would play a video which fits only a small portion of the screen? If it was a projector connection it would *HAVE* to have the proper screen size... not 1/8th of it.

2ndly, there's no effin way that Windows 98 would be the O/S. Think about this, even if the owner of the hotel spent a lot of $$ and bought the display when Win98 came out, I'm pretty sure that since then (10 years ago) he/she would have spent a bit more $$ to get better software as music & video streaming nowadays is of better quality and perhaps compressed differently.... At the very least a Linux flavored O/S would comply 10x better than a Wind0ze one in cases like these!!

IMAGE IS A FAKE! If you want, I can replicate it with Windows 3.1.

...not fake...
on the 2nd photo, look real close at the other screen and notice how it's tilted towards the bottom.. most of you think this as a bad photoshop application but i think this is real.. the screen is tilted and that's why it looks like it extends at the bottom..

This happens all the time in Vegas. Nothing new. Seriously. Been happening as far back as 97 at various casinos. Lots of pics floating around of it happening at MGM.
