In-Flight Internet Access Starts Next Week

Several U.S. airlines plan to roll out in-flight Wi-Fi -- STARTING TUESDAY with a JetBlue trial on a single airplane. However, over the next few months, American Airlines, Virgin America and Alaska Airlines will start offering Internet access for a fee -- probably $10 per flight. Hooray! (props to TWIMO)

Only problem is that, at least on JetBlue, the service is limited to only approved (and one assumes, paid partner) devices: the Blackberry, Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger. Meaning that one can't just whip out a laptop and surf.
