Video Games Blamed For England's Soccer Woes

"We would have the best team if we could go into every household and THROW AWAY EVERY PLAYSTATION, XBOX AND VIDEO GAME," West Ham soccer goalkeeper Robert Green told AFP. Green "blamed the increasing popularity of video games among English boys for the country's failure to reach the finals of the Euro 2008 football championships."

Why does everyone point the blame at video games? Why dont you point the blame on yourself or your coach? Your the ones who play and practice. Guys must not practice enough ever think of that!!

Could the problem be that before vidio games became popular more boy were out playing soccer and thuss provided a national pool of up and comming players. After vidio games became the national past time the pool is starting to dry up so to speak

If England had a half decent goalkeeper, perhaps they would have qualified. Search for Paul Robinson's incredible missed kick against Croatia on YouTube (also known as the Borat goal). They fired the coach after they didn't qualify--but no one wants the job.

Soccer is a brain-numbing game that diverts attention from real life problems and those who are interested in it are zombies programmed to obey. World of Warcraft, on the other hand...
