UK Government Warns of Chinese Espionage
Information has leaked that UK's Security Service, also called MI5, sent more than 1,000 letters yesterday to the CEOs of UK businesses informing them that "it has noticed an upsurge in ELECTRONIC ESPIONAGE attempts made or launched against a lot of UK companies." Martin Jordan, principal advisor of IT advisory services at KPMG, told a reporter that Chinese spies are "targeting financial information relating to deals which may occur and involve Chinese companies.... [the spies] are trying to find out the financial limits of such deals to subsequently push UK companies to pay out the maximum or receive the minimum amount of money within such deals."

This is commonplace amongst all Western Gvmnts. Can't understand what the UK complaint is ? On another point China will shortly stop buying UST bills and start investing in Stocks/Bonds. ie They will own the rights to this technology. It will be game over then.
All just Penatagon BS. China ain't doing nothing to antagonize its global customers (i.e. Walmart, USA, etc.)
US GPS birds are geosync'd over Canada at 15°. A MMW laser (i.e. HEL) can not do anything to a GPS bird as it doesn't use optics. The beam diverges to far to be able to burn it either.
A HEL could blind a DoD bird however. The PRC have a bird-killer which is kinetic. But it has to get close up and personal with the bird to do any meaningful damage. We would have detected the attempt long before that happened.
Why would they want to take out GPS when they use it too for their GPS products that flood our electronics market? This story is just too stupid to believe... Fodder for the gullible mind....
