Complex Humanoid Robot Has a 'Soft Touch'

A new Japanese humanoid robot called Twendy-One has a SOFT TOUCH -- "241 pressure-sensors in each silicon-wrapped hand" -- that lets it pick up a loaf of bread without crushing it. The five-foot tall, 245 pound rolling robot speaks Japanese and is one of the most complex ever built, but may cost as little as $200,000 when it starts work in around 2015 at hospitals and offices.
