Brando added this hideous blender alarm clock to their line of USB eyesores today -- a $25 gadget that wakes you up by "blending" while it plays "an assortment of 1970's GAME SHOW JINGLES." Why it does this exactly, I have no idea.

Now, if the blender part actually worked, I could see a use: Hangovers! (I've seen a lot of 'hangover cures' involving blenders... this could be perfect if you need to get to work fully alert, if only it actually worked)
The description at the linked site is a must-read! I couldn't help but wonder if the "Gong Show" theme is one of the songs available. It looks like they ran broken English and bad ad copy through that blender. "Shred and music only work when alarm." Alarm on the part of the user or of the machine? An interesting 'blend' of confusion too. "Do not open cover. Do not eat balls." Ok. I guess this is just in time for Christmas and all those people needed "funky and retro" blended balls. Thanks, Mike! This post made my day!
How ugly. For the same bucks you'd better get software like Chameleon Clock, it makes alarms, sync time, displays beautiful clocks on the desktop, etc etc etc, it even can blend something.... probably :) - see www.softshape.com/cham
