Robots Created From Junk In Bangladesh, Nepal

Two robots from, of all places, Bangladesh and Nepal are being reported today. Bangladeshi graduate student Feroz Ahmed Siddiky of the International Islamic University in Chittagong created a robot made from junk called iROBO (pictured) that picks up trash, mops the floor and, reportedly, responds to voice commands. He says the humanoid robot could also be used for dangerous jobs, like mining or blogging. He says he's talking to an Australian company about manufacturing the robot for consumer use. (Here comes the VIDEO!) In other news, an 8th grader in Nepal has reportedly built a CROWD-CONTROL ROBOT. The robot could "charge at the mob with baton, use water canon, lob tear gas and even shoot."
