Airbus Considered For President's Air Force One

The U.S. Air Force is reportedly considering buying and outfitting the EUROPEAN AIRBUS A380 for the president's Air Force One.

While I'd prefer that Air Force One remain a Boeing, the Marines are already buying a European-designed helicopter (US101) to serve as Marine One, so the barrier has already been breached.

Besides, for AF1 duty, it's not like the USAF will buy 100s of A380s, just two or three. Airbus desperately needs the business and will heavily discount that flying beast.

Boeing will be better off if the USAF selects the KC-767 instead of the Airbus KC-30 for its next tanker: that's an order for 100s of airplanes.
