A 'Perfect Storm' Of Chinese Dishonesty

The three big issues that wreck China's international reputation are 1) government corruption; 2) counterfeiting; and 3) low product quality. All three come together in this story. The Chinese are producing FAKE QUALITY INSPECTORS. The spokesman for a real regulatory agency told the press that fake inspectors in China "said they could provide special channels to avoid inspection and approval, or could help companies apply for inspection exemption or gets the right contacts to do so in exchange for money." That's right. Scammers in China are pretending to be official quality control inspectors so they can take bribes in exchange for overlooking shoddy manufacturing.
