New Handheld Gadget For Checkpoint Security

Roper Mobile Technology has come out with a Windows CE handheld gadget specifically designed for CHECKPOINTS -- such as during military operations, disasters, or special events (like the iPhone or Halo launch). Called the DAP CE3000B, the device uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to connect to a nearby computer for running background checks using entered data, such as smart cards or barcodes (which it reads) or fingerprints (which it scans). It also meets military specs for shock, vibration and extreme temperatures. And it's waterproof. I want one. (props to WindowsForDevices)
