Intel Robot Claws 'Sense' Before They Touch

Intel scientists toiling away in a Seattle lab have invented technology called PRE-TOUCH, which enables robot claws and hands to gather information about an object before seizing and crushing it. The sensors, called electric-field proximity sensors, can tell if a bottle is full or empty and sense it's size before grabbing it. Here comes the VIDEO!
