Apple Rumors Were True: Touch iPod, 'Fat' Nano

It turns out that all the predictions published here about forthcoming iPods were true. I told you July 12 that a next-generation iPod "looks, feels and works EXACTLY LIKE THE iPHONE -- but without the "phone" part." I also wrote September 28 last year that, in response to the threat from Zune's "social" Wi-Fi feature, Apple "is probably working feverishly on a bigger-screen, wirelessly enabled iPod" (a column I Raw Fed here.) These two predictions exactly match the iPod Steve Jobs just announced. And I told you August 19 and posted spy pics August 22 that revealed the new short, fat, video iPod nano -- another iPod Jobs announced a few minutes ago.
