Protect Yourself From China With Lead Dectector
Recent recalls involving toxic lead paint on toys has raised questions about product safety, especially about products from China. The trouble is, just about everything is made in China, and almost none of the Chinese toys and other products you've already bought have been tested for lead. That's why Oxford Instruments developed its X-MET3000TXR+, a fluorescence analyzer LEAD SCREENER. It also tests for arsenic, cadmium, mercury, chrome, nickel and other hazardous metals.

Comments:
Even though China is not precisely known for it´s QA testing procedures and best business practices, remember that most of the toys that have high Lead indexes, are MATTEL designs and the cinese just manufacture them according to specs.
So don´t be naive, you are paying dollars for cheap designs....Lead is the result of US companys not caring fot their customers in the first place !
That's the communist party's current spin, but it's clearly false.
Yes, Mattel can be blamed for not testing toys, but 1) using lead paint for toys is super common in China for the domestic market; and 2) Mattel wouldn't "design" toxic paint that it would have to later recall into products.

Just remember not to buy a lead scanner MADE IN CHINA, though! He he he.
