Internet Cafe Refugee Epidemic Hits Japan
The Japanese government is investigating a growing trend. Day laborers are actually LIVING IN CYBER CAFES. Tokyo's luxury cyber cafes have showers, serve meals and are open 24 hours a day. It costs $25 for five hours, with a meal included and all the Internet access you can handle.

At least they aren't out on the street doing drugs and committing crime. I actually think that this is a good thing. What is wrong with someone coming in off the street and getting cleaned up, catching some zzz's and checking email before they go back out? How many of us only spend that much time at home?
If I were a Japanese day laborer, I'd do it, too.
