All-Electric Police Car (Quietly) Hits the Streets

The Connellsville Police Department has started using what they are calling the nation's FIRST-EVER ALL-ELECTRIC POLICE CAR. A company called Coherent Systems International retrofitted an electric motor into a 2000 Chevrolet Impala as part of a three-year project that involved complete replacements of the "transmission, motor and all other equipment that could not be powered by electricity."
