Air Force Gets New Toy, Er, Unmanned System
The U.S. Air Force has gotten its hands on 30 TINY AIRPLANES for aerial surveillance. The airplanes vary, but some of them are Wasp III systems from AeroVironment, which are ruggedized and "back-packable," weigh less than one pound each and have a wingspan of 29 inches. The airplanes are remote-controlled and fitted with cameras, both "regular" and infra-red.

Just letting you know that the pictures of the blog are not showing up in the rss feed.
Cheers!

Yeah, I turned that off because the pictures are getting expensive, hitting my Web hosting bill pretty hard.

Only 30 of the little airplanes? Did they get the sampler package or something?
Too bad, because IMO the feed is useless without the photos.
I'll take your feedback under advisement. I may bring pictures back for the RSS feed.
So far, it hasn't done what I hoped it would do -- my bandwidth usage is still growing out of control.
