Flying Mini-Robot Chip Modelled On Insect Brain

Insects do amazing flight navigation with tiny pea-brains. Researchers at France’s National Center for Scientific Research and the University of the Mediterranean in France have created a mini helicopter controlled by a tiny chip modeled after FLYING-INSECT BRAINS. It uses simple rules based on low-rez visual input to fly around without crashing -- just like houseflies.
