Electronic Music Stand Does It All

Hammacher Schlemmer posted for sale a sweet, $1,399.95 rechargable ELECTRONIC MUSIC STAND, that displays sheet music on a 12" LCD display. You turn the pages by either touching the screen or pressing the foot pedal. Music can be scanned, or downloaded. The stand can also store all kinds of training information (fingering charts, etc.), and integrates a pitch pipe, metronome and even an MP3 player so you can hear how the pros play it. It supports both USB (two ports). It's great for practice, but if you use it during a performance and the 3-hour battery life comes to an end, you're toast.

For the benefit of those of us with retinal problems, an integrated magnifier (larger screen?) would be a great help.

to the producer of this device: did you check for any I.P.? This is a registered product and you have not the right to shell it. I am going to sue you.

A Tablet PC with MusicReader (http://www.musicreader.net) is a good alternative for this product.
