Chinese Buyers Think Original Gadgets Are Fake
Here's what's happening in China: 1) Japanese and Korean gadget, phone and car makers release sleek, innovative new devices or vehicles domestically in Japan and Korea; 2) Chinese rip-off companies buy one, and return to China where the whole thing is copied; 3) The Chinese companies sell the fake version domestically in China; 4) when the original is finally sold in China, Chinese consumers think the original is a counterfeit of a Chinese original, since the Chinese phone was sold first, and are OUTRAGED at the copyright violation. Counterfeiters cost legit companies about $600 billion per year and growing fast, and the overwhelming majority of it happens in China.

You are right... I just have back from China, specific Shenzhen, and well... is the house of the "Copy", in a shop, they try to sell me a Sony 32GB USB Flash, when you insert in the PC, your PC says... "yes, it has 32 gb of space", but i´m not so stupid, so I started to copy files, and files to the USB, the guys in the shop start to put some nervous... in fact I copied about 3 GB, after I tried to use all the files and... Surprise!, you only can use a real 128 mb! the other files appear there but are corrupt after the 128mb of use... it´s the same with the "Nano" like in the picture you have in the article, it says 8GB, but you really have only 128Mb of storage and a poor obviusly software and performance...
Be careful before you try that cheap Chinese copies...
regretfully, big companies also relly on China to manufacture their original devices too ! they pay a few dollars per device and sell them at full price everywhere in the world.
I personally don´t care if they loose a lot of money if they are screwing me with the price in the first place
At some point, China is going to begin to design its own products, and probably will come up with some good ones.
I hope the rest of the world laughs at them when Thai, Vietnamese and Indian companies repeat the cycle listed above and take a ton of money out of the hands of Chinese companies.
Maybe then their government will understand why more developed nations were so peeved at China's disregard for intellectual property.
in china, Copyright means The Right To Copy. So it is a rightful act to copy there
I think u are really stupid to be blaming all of this on the chinese
i think that everyone has a right of freedom to express their designs and if they look the same, who can blame them...
i mean with all the years of modern technology, i can see how creater's do not have anything original as past designs have already been taken
china does design their own products, do you not read any history books written by non-chinese people!?!
even if they did steal designs, who cold blame them when there are american/british companies who use them for cheap labour
and by the way, it's not just china that does it
i suggest you research before ranting on USELESS crap!!!
