USB DVD, CD Disk Invented

The American-Israeli company Aladdin has invented CD and DVD disks that plug directly into a USB port to access built-in "SMART CARD" functionality. Called the XCD, the disk is the same size and thickness of a normal disk, but one side of it is chopped away into a functional USB plug. The inventors imagine the technology could be used to lock and unlock protected contents.
