New York Park Being Redesigned In VR Game

A Queens, New York, planning board is getting socially networked feedback and ideas for a park redesign using the VIRTUAL REALITY GAME Second Life. New York Law School created an experimental island within Second Life called Democracy Island. A designer working for the board recreated a park called Landing Lights Park on Democracy Island, plus an unlimited supply of shrubs, trees, lawns, fountains and other park elements for people to play with while coming up with their own designs for the park. The planning board then gets to look at all the designs and choose which one or combination of ideas, it will use for the actual park. Next up: Virtual New Orleans. Here comes the VIDEO!
