iPod Attracts Lightning; Teen Zapped

It's true. Listening to an iPod can damage your hearing -- especially when it's STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. Colorado 17-year-old Jason Bunch was mowing the lawn and listening to his iPod when the gadget was struck by a bolt of lightning. It appears that the current traveled up the earbud wires, fried his face and ears and lit his shirt on fire. Although he's still alive, his hearing was damaged. And he's probably going to "Think Different" for awhile.

iPod attracts lighting??? so if he were mowing the lawn without an iPod he would not been zapped??? wow, thats so scientific... so the next time there is a lighting storm in my town, I will go to the roof without a DAP and nothing will happen to me, cool...

It was probably his horrific lambchops that scored him a visit by the lightning god. Jeez, if I could hurl lightning bolts, I would burn that look from stupid people everywhere.

He should've thanked iPod for sparing him the chance to avoid meeting the unwanted girl with a perfect excuse.

Watch mythbusters. I takes a body piercing the size of a door knob fused to your head to MAYBE cause some lightning attraction. What about the all metal mower he was playing with? No it's definitely the iPod!

if he was mowing the lawn without an iPod (or other MP3 player) he probabely was hit by lightning through his brains, means he was dead by now.
So : An iPod can save you live if you're so stupid mowing the lawn in a lightning storm.

It's still pretty funny, I don't care if he did get hit, that kid is an idiot. Obviously, by the burns on his face, something conducted the lightning and the surge traveled up the earbuds. What a retard, who mows their lawn in a lightning storm? Honestly, I have no sympathy for him, it's all his fault.

It seems that none of you realise that lightning can strike miles away from a storm. It could have been perfect weather.
