Jesus Video Game Marketed to Churches
Jesus-oriented video game maker 3rd Day has come up with a unique marketing scheme. They license their game, called Faith Explorer, to churches, and
encourage every child in the church to play the games over and over during SUNDAY SCHOOL. A year's worth of games -- one per month -- come on the disk, and each becomes unlocked with every new month. In a press release, 3rd Day quoted one mother as saying, "(My daughter) LOVES this game. Thank goodness she has found something to take the place of watching TV." Jesus.

It seems like a pretty nice resource.
This doesn't take the place of watching TV - it is TV! Let's not relationally TEACH our children but, instead, find a new way to ENTERTAIN them. We don't need to replace Hollywood, etc., with our "Holywood." Let's give them something completely different - how about a home where kids spend time with their parents. I think a ratio of three hours for every one hour spent in front of the television. That would make a much greater impact for the Kingdom of God than anything television ever will.
