Microsoft Patents 'Smart Car Radio'

Microsoft has been granted a U.S. patent for what it calls a SMART CAR RADIO. The radio is a kind of TiVo for audio that automatically removes ads, playing only recorded music and news, etc. The device is similar to some satellite radio devices, which feature removable pocketsize controllers that can be then plugged into a home unit. The device would also function as a mobile PDA.
