Pimped Out Honda Civic Controlled By PSP

A car customization company called Metro Electronics in America showed off at CES this week an electric 1994 Honda Civic pimped out with remote-controllable doors, lights -- even the driving part is remote controllable. The best part is that the remote control unit is a Wi-Fi enabled SONY PLAYSTATION PORTABLE. The car has 24 LCD screens (you can never have too many, really) and speakers galore. The car is a hideous example of American gadget obsession and excess in general. I want one.

[I found only one story on this -- at the UK-based Pocket-lint. Props to PSP Gear, News and Rumors)]

Actually, the name of the company that created the car - dubbed the "ElecTrick" - is Metra Electronics, a manufuacurer of car sound accessories and other aftermarket products. Metra is based in Holly Hill, Florida (next door to Daytona Beach), and has in-house customizers who design and build its show vehicles.
