Koranic Bloggers Festival Opens In Iran

The first-ever KORANIC BLOGGING FESTIVAL was launched Saturday in the Iranian capitol, Tehran. The head of the "University Jihad Organization," Ali Montazeri, said some 3,000 bloggers from around the world were expected to participate. A big blogging contest will take place at event, the purpose of which, according to the official web site, is to "help expand presence of the holy Quran on the internet." Criteria for the contest include "correctness of the Koranic information in the blog." The festival runs until March 7.
