Gaming Champ Helped Design New Mouse

Creative rolled out a new, Teflon-coated GAMING MOUSE called the Fatal1ty 2020, co-developed by professional gamer Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel. The mouse goes GA in "early 2006" (whenever that is) and will cost about $70. The mouse has six times the "resolution" of normal mice and works "flawlessly" on any surface, according to Creative. It has rubberized grip points and a gold-plated USB plug to maximize signal transfer to the PC. I want one.
[Although the mouse was announced via press release at CES -- in the U.S. -- I haven't found a single American news outlet to run with the story, although it was covered in the UK on Pocket Lint and India's IT News Online. Props to Anyware Solutions, Erogonomic Keyboard Resources and Svartlinks. BTW, does anyone know if gold makes the bits go faster?]

Comments:
nice
Dear Mike, Gold does not speed bits up, but it is a better medium to transfer electricity, therefore prevents interference (makes the mouse work better)
Actually. Gold isn't as good as a conductor of electricity than for example silver. The copper in the wires has less conductivity so nothing really changes. Except the connections don't oxidise because gold is a transition metal.
Gold doesn't make the bits go faster. The speed of light is the speed of light.
The speed of light does not apply to an electrical connection. Gold connections sell because they don't oxidize and it sounds better... Because if it's made with gold it has to be better because gold costs so much...right?? (sarcasm implied)
It is a cool mouse but I prefer a trackball.
