Hitachi Demo's Vein-ID Car-Door Handles

Hitachi demonstrated at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show new technology that protects cars using VEIN IDENTIFICATION biometric security. Like a fingerprint readers, the vein ID system detects the unique pattern of blood vessels in your fingers before letting you into the car. Now, in order to jack your ride, crooks need to cut off your entire hand instead of just a finger.
