One Text Message Tells Everyone You're 'OK'

A free new service that launches Monday called textOK.com lets you tell everyone you know that you haven't been KILLED in a terrorist attack, tsunami, earthquake or disaster of your choice. Just go to the site, register your number, list your contacts' numbers and you're all set. Then, when you don't die, send a message to a specified number, and the "I'm OK" messages go out instantly to all.

"I hadn't heard from you in such a long time! I was worried sick! I thought maybe something happened to you. Well, thank God you sent that text message even if I didn't know where my cell phone was. Did something bad happen?"
